What Is Menopause?

When a woman’s ovaries cease producing hormones, this is referred to as menopause, which most often brings on a hormonal imbalance. BioTE Medical’s approach to menopause therapy for women is specifically designed to address these imbalances and may relieve symptoms. BioTE Medical’s method of hormone therapy helps treat the root of the problem by reintroducing missing hormones and restoring hormonal balance.

How Does Menopause Present in Women?

Even the most common menopause symptoms can be difficult to handle. These symptoms include hot flashes or flushes, vaginal dryness, and trouble sleeping. Anxiousness and low mood, which are often intolerable and reduce quality of life, are also triggered by menopause.

What Are the Phases of Menopause?

The three stages of menopause are perimenopause, menopause, and postmenopause. Perimenopause is the beginning stage of menopause, starting as early as a woman’s 30s. Menopause is the point at which a woman’s periods have stopped, and postmenopause are considered the years after this.

What Is BHRT for Menopause?

Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, or BHRT, may be able to rebalance hormone levels that are reduced during menopause. BioTE Medical’s approach to menopause therapy for women only uses hormones similar to those in the human body and may help relieve the symptoms associated with menopause.

What Is the Process of BHRT Pellet Insertion Like?

The BHRT pellet insertion procedure is designed to be as comfortable as possible. A patient will use our Find a Provider tool to be matched with one of our 3,000 of nation-wide certified BioTE providers. After a provider confirms their patient’s candidacy, they will isolate an area for subcutaneous insertion (normally on the patient’s upper buttock), a pellet will be inserted into a tiny incision then covered with a small Band-Aid. The pellet may then provide consistent relief from the symptoms of menopause for three to six months.

How Can BHRT Help With Menopause?

BHRT pellets provide constant and consistent doses of hormone therapy throughout the course of the day, week, and month—unlike pills or creams that offer less consistent relief.
